Mama’s Kitchen

Terms

The conditions for sitting at this table.

Updated 3 November 2026.

This page

These are the terms and conditions for Mama’s Kitchen. They cover this website and the Mama’s Kitchen app. Using the house book means you’re all right with these words. The privacy page sits beside them.

The house book

Mama’s Kitchen is a quiet place to keep what the house is eating: today, the week, and what’s in the cupboard. It is not a shop, not a delivery service, and not advice about health or diet. What’s for dinner is what you write.

Your account

You can come in with Google, or with an email and four numbers we send you. Keep that email where only your household should see those numbers. You’re responsible for what happens on the account.

One household sits on the book. Write what belongs to that house. Don’t sign in as someone else.

What you write

Meals, names, the cupboard, and the list are yours. You let us keep them so the book can show them back to you. Don’t put secrets that aren’t yours, and don’t put anything the law doesn’t allow.

A note through Write to us is a letter to us. We’ll read it. Don’t send anything you wouldn’t put on the table.

Using it kindly

Use Mama’s Kitchen for a household’s meals. Don’t try to break it, scrape it, or use it to bother anyone. Don’t send junk through Write to us, and don’t try to guess other people’s codes.

Pings and PDFs

Meal reminders are a nudge on your phone, not a promise that dinner is ready. You choose how early they come, and you can turn them off.

Sharing a plan PDF is your choice. Once it leaves the app, it’s in the hands of whoever you shared it with.

The service

We’ll keep the book in good order when we can. Sometimes it will rest, change, or go quiet. Features may arrive or leave. We’ll try not to surprise the household more than we have to.

Mama’s Kitchen is offered as it is. We don’t promise it will never forget a dish, never miss a ping, or always be reachable.

If something goes wrong

If the book is lost for a while, or a ping doesn’t land, we’re sorry. We’re not on the hook for dinner, shopping, or anything that follows from a missed note. The house book is a help, not a guarantee.

Stopping

You can sign out any time. If you want the household taken off the book, write to us. We can close an account that isn’t using the book kindly.

Changes

These terms can change. We’ll date the page when they do. Keeping the house book after that date means the new words apply. If they’re not for you, sign out and write to us to take the household off.
